Groundwater & Grub: Drillers Summit & Dinner on October 23

Join us for an evening of good food and great conversation at the Lost Pines Groundwater Conservation District’s Drillers Summit & Dinner on Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the District Office, 317 E. Hempstead St., Giddings, TX.

This gathering is a chance for local water well drillers to connect with one another and with District staff. We’ll share updates on our new rules relating to well drilling and provide a program overview, including the Well Watch Program, the Well Capping & Plugging Reimbursement Program, and the Groundwater Mitigation Program. We’ll also talk about the future of groundwater in our District based on data and science, and give a walk-through of our well map database to show how it can help drillers make informed decisions.

Bring your questions, ideas, and appetite! We’re looking forward to an open conversation about how these updates and tools can support both drillers and our communities in Bastrop and Lee Counties. Dinner will be provided.
