Theme

Submissions should reflect why the participant is thankful for how a water well or groundwater supports homes, land, livestock, gardens, agriculture, or daily routines. Entries may highlight personal experiences, practical uses, or moments that demonstrate why wells and groundwater matter to the participant and their community.

Prizes

• 1st Place: $500
• 2nd Place: $300
• 3rd Place: $200
• Honorable Mention: $100
• Calendar Selections (8): $50 each

Timeline

• Submission period closes: March 31
• Judging period: April
• Winner announcement: May

Submission Requirements

• Each participant may submit one entry.
• Each entry must include:
  • One high-resolution photograph (JPEG or PNG format).
  • One written narrative (100–200 words) explaining the photo and the importance of water wells or groundwater in the participant’s life.
• Entries must be submitted by email to cmarks@lostpineswater.org.
• Submissions must be received by the end of the submission period to be eligible.
